A lot of times, you won’t be able to use your debit card in other countries even if it’s a world renowned bank. Your credit card is generally acceptable anywhere and that goes for flights, hotels, and events you so choose to attend. When it comes to doing business such as getting a car or something that’s a bit high ticketed in price, the process of making the transaction does not take as long. You won’t have to wait 2-3 days for your transaction to fully clear.

2.) Special offers and promos with your card

As an incentive for purchasing a credit card, there are always offers that will entice you to buy. It maybe cash back on certain purchases at a mall. Maybe a freebie such as a buy one, get one free. There are even certain travel deals where you can get your hotel 50% off or free using some of the decent credit card deals from banks such as Citibank and HSBC. Always find good credit cards with great rates and incentives that will help you along with your everyday life or help you save money down the road when you go out to eat, make travel arrangements, etc. If you are building your credit, you might as well take advantage of the special offers that come with purchasing a credit card.

3.) Building credit

This is one of the primary reasons why people use credit cards. Building credit is very important when making purchases on cars, homes, and even insurance. A lot of the time when you go to purchase these items, dealers look at your credit score. A credit score shows how responsible you are with making payments, your long term purchases, and whether or not you are a good candidate for certain offers. It’s this type of business integrity that proves your responsibility to honoring a certain payment for a specified amount of time.

4.) Helps build financial responsibility

Keeping up with credit card payments is a good way to keep track of your obligations. Instead of paying by cash or debit card, you’ll find that you are much more responsible because you know you are paying back a certain owed amount by a certain date. You know by not paying on time, you have to pay certain fees that will get you deeper into debt.
It’s a good way to put a reality check into how much you are actually spending and helps you create a monthly budget that lets you know where all of your money goes. Whether you make investments or pay off debts, this is a good way to become more aware of how you utilize your funds to make decisions for the future.

5.) Buying frequent flier miles

If you are the type of person that travels whether it’s vacation or business, a good credit card will help you secure great deals. You can travel at a much lower cost and possible find great deals with your meals, your place of stay, and even transportation depending on your credit card company the airlines. Not to mention if you have a long term relationship and build up your credit points, you can use the extra mileage as great gifts to your relatives for the Holiday season.
